Best slow cooker I've ever owned
I have had several slow cookers over the years and this is definitely my fave. It has manual setting and a setting to program, as well as the probe setting where it cooks food to optimal temp and then sets to warm. By the way, I love the "warm" feature, too! I find the probe does a good job. One of my favorite features of this slow cooker is that the lid has a lock! I know this may not seem like a big deal until you spill a pot of chicken and pastry in your floor board of your van after a quick stop. All said, it's a great buy and worth the upgrade. Only request--I wish it had a delay start to it.

Nice Slow Cooker but be warned it may shut off on you
I bought this before seeing the reviews. I made a pork that takes about 16-20 hrs to cook and sometime in the early morning hours it shut off. So, I tried again this time cooking during the day to see at what point the thing will shut off on me. It shut off after 13 hours of cooking using manual setting. I don't know at what hour it shut off on everyone else or if I would be safe to make something with a more normal cooking range of 8-10 hours.
Its a nice slow cooker tho, The lid locks on for traveling and has nifty spoon rest on top and the price is okay.

Great cooker
Not really much to say it does what it is supposed to and does it well.

Good potential, flawed implementation
I bought this in March of last year from another retailer, and it worked very well for the first few times. Then, like others here, I came home and the thing was on "High," and dinner was ruined. This happened 2 more times, and then I called customer support.

Their customer support people were very nice and accommodating. They replaced my unit free of charge, after I sent them the plug from the faulty unit. I used it a few times with no issues, and then the other day I came home again to the thing cooking on "High." Nothing was burnt, but getting my 3yo to eat tough pot roast is more of a challenge than I want at the end of a long day at work.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll probably give them a call, but I'm not sure it will do me much good. I don't have a whole lot of faith in their product right now.

Totally unreliable.
I received this product as a Christmas gift in 2009. My husband bought it in November of that year. I have used this several times since opening it, and I noticed that the temperature setting was different than what I thought I had set it to. I thought I was confused about what I had set it to. It was new and maybe I didn't do something right. Well, after using it about 6 times, it now shuts off completely for no reason and the temperature setting changes constantly. I also didn't like how hot the outside of the crockpot gets. I have a rival crock pot and it got warm to the touch but never burn yourself hot. This just can't be trusted. Do not buy this product!
