This kettle is fabulous - and is in almost constant use. Because it's really stainless steel - none of that plastic taste that the look-alikes have. Good-looking - no problem leaving it out on the counter. Great deal!

I only boil the minimum amount required by the tea kettle to operate and it boils in under 2 minutes. My gas stove can take 4x as long.

Positively the worst kitchen appliance we have ever bought. We bought this because it was recommended on this site, and compared with our old kettle (left behind in the UK), this is a complete waste of money. It takes ages to boil - I am surprised by the reviews suggesting this is quick, and the thermostat takes ages to switch off once the water is boiling, which is an unnecessary waste of electricity. Our thermostat is now not shutting off at all(in a 5 month old kettle), meaning the kettle is now an electrical hazard, and like the previous reviewer, I have discovered that the warranty is almost worthless. It requires the kettle to be posted at our expense, including a further $10.00 for return postage (a third of the value of the item!), and allowing 2-4 weeks for return shipping! I suspect that these sort of provisions, which make the warranty without value, are probably not valid as a matter of law, but I don't really want a replacement so we are not pursuing this.

I like this electric kettle for several reasons. It is cordless, well balanced and pours very nicely without any drips. I do find myself wondering just how long the on/off switch/tab directly below the handle will last. It seems like a poor design.

This was definitely one of our better purchases in recent times. The kettle is very fast, much faster than heating water on the stove, and turns itself off when the water boils, not before. The stand is convenient and appears to be quite safe.
