Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper

Makes great natural popcorn quickly with no burning or scorching. Very easy to use and requires no maintenance.

The workout you get along with it is brief but effective. Unless you tilt it backward, you will be bobbing and weaving all over the kitchen to avoid the hot, unpopped kernals that fly out of the chute and bounce around. Also, someimes after you think it is finished, another kernal or two will pop in the bowl causing some of the popped corn to fly out. Bending and stretching to pick up what is on the floor adds to the workout and allows you to eat more popcorn.

I would not let a child operate this but as adults, it can be quite entertaining after a few cocktails! I love it.

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present and it pretty well does exactly what you'd expect. As others have mentioned, it does have a tendency to shoot popcorn out at times you wouldn't expect, but that is easily solved with a little patience by letting the bowl sit for a minute after you unplug the popper. The butter warming thing on the top is kind of useless...it is a standard feature on these but it doesn't really have the butter melted all the way by the time you're done popping. We instead buy the liquid popcorn butter stuff at the grocery store. Works well enough

Other than that, we've been pretty happy with it. It make the popcorn pretty fast and you can make as much or as little as you like. Haven't had any major problems with it yet and we use it a fair bit; my wife LOVES popcorn.

The popcorn it makes tastes really good (although you might want to add some salt and butter from time to time), and is never burnt. It's a great gift for popcorn lovers! The only problem: it is really loud, so be sure to make popcorn before you start a movie.

This is a wonderful popcorn popper and a great Mother's Day gift. If you want to eat healthy popcorn that tastes great and is not loaded with salt and fat, try this popper. I eat the popcorn right after it pops with no salt, butter, or seasoning added. The popcorn can be stored in a plastic bag and eaten later. The popper is an excellent buy and is easy to use and clean. The instructions state that yellow corn is better to use than white corn. I only had white, and it popped just fine. I do like popcorn but I was a) sick of using the microwave, b) tired of all the oil that goes into it. My Presto Corn Popper is a very good alternative. You fill it with 1/4 cup of pop corn, plug it it, and it will yield lots and lots of it. The only issue I have with this machine is that you must unplug it to stop it (literally pull out the plug), which can be awkward when you have your hands full. A switch would have been nice.
