Furi FUR626 Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener

I purchased this item from Amazon a few months ago based on all the positive reviews. Silly me should have known it was too good to be true. It does make knives somewhat sharper, though the edge doesn't last long. My main issue now is that the sharpening surfaces are not part of the metal fingers and one of them just fell off as I was using it. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else for the price. Guess I'm back in the market for a knife sharpener.

As a collector of sorts of various blades, I wanted to be sure this item worked well before I tried it on some of my better knives. Its performance was slightly above mediocre when I tried it out and if you are new to knife-sharpening, I can definitely see how you could get scratches on the side of your blades. This item did sharpen a blade or two but only a little and it is very very loud and annoying. I much prefer sharpening blocks.

I can't believe how sharp my tomato slicin' knives are after 15 swipes on this thing. I'm thinking of opening a knife sharpening business ;)

tal y como dije no hace maravillas pero hace el trabajo , tengo un set clasic de henckel y luego de utilizar este amolador tendo que usar la chaira (de henkel)para alinear el edge de mis cuchillos

I had been using a sharpener I found long ago in the fishing section of a local store (like the Maxam on Amazon) but knew that it removed a fair amount of steel since I could see shavings when I finished. Since I just bought some new knives, I didn't want them aging prematurely so I was looking for an alternative. I heard about this line on a cooking blog and ordered the cheapest version. It's marvelous! I have two knives I love and use the most and several swipes through the fingers and they were as sharp as the ones I rarely use. Great tool!
